In the midst of an unrelated online search this morning, I came upon myself. How ’bout them apples!
Funny thing is that I didn’t even know the piece was out there. I’ve done a few interviews and a photo shoot over the past 9 months relating to my diagnosis, our journey with my brain tumor and our experiences at Emory with the Neurosurgical team/program so it was all familiar content. I just didn’t know it was there.
The text is from an interview and podcast piece from late summer and is expected to go up in February from what I’ve been told. The photo is from an entirely different project and interview that I have yet to see final print on, so stay tuned for that one.
Nevertheless the two are married together in this testimonial piece posted on the Emory Healthcare site.
The interviewer loved the photos and story of the visiting frogs I had written about on the blog just before our meeting and found here. So, just in case you’re confused on who my friends are… that’s the hidden reference to my “friends” in the beginning of the piece. While it’s been months since the interview and the toads are hibernating away, I suppose it borders of making me appear nuts now, but oh well. I guess I am nuts at times!
For what it’s worth, here’s the piece. Click on the title below to link to the piece.
When a brain tumor brings clarity of mind.
Be kind.
