It (the piece of shit in my head) has a name…

Grade 2 Infultrating Astrocytoma. We will have another MRI in 10 weeks and then every 4-6 months to follow up. No Radiation until things change… no need to make a dumb blond dumber with out cause! Typically, we are told that these turn malignant in about 10 years, but we will have to see about that one! Now that I know what I am dealing with, this shit has no chance of doing anything other than what I say it can do! We are thrilled with the outcome of the surgeryand to now know exactly what it is, what grade it is and what our next steps are. Knowledge is power and that is a great thing to own.

Paul is a rock… the kids are very loud and I am doing my best to sleep and be a good patient. They are cutting down my steroids from 4 times a day to 2 times a day this week, then another step down and then be off of them in two more weeks. This is good since they make me want to eat and getting fat is not part of the plan. I have lost weight (how I don’t know), but feeling hungry when you are not burning calories is an awkward feeling!

A shout out to the awesome team at Emory… you all rock and we are grateful for your knowledge, training, compassion and smiles.

I am off to eat dinner, take my pile of pills and then bed… this chick is worn out!

Peace!
