They announced this weekend from the back of the car that they needed to make a commercial.
People, they said, needed to know and hear what they had to say about donating to fund brain tumor research. More people needed to support our team Babes with Brains and the Race for Research.
Apparently from the lively and animated conversation they were having they had a lot to share.
Tonight, with little fanfare, dirty shirts and big hearts, they sat down after dinner to “shoot” their commercial. I swear, I can’t make this up. After 6 attempts, a little scuffle between the two, interruption by a barking dog and a case of the giggles, eventually they pulled it out.
Try telling yourself that you can’t find a reason to donate. Just try.

They are absolutely adorable and the spot turned out super cute. It brought a tear to my eye that they did it so earnestly 🙂
Thanks Sara! They are sweet guys and are over the moon with all the money our team has raised thus far. Over $12,000!

We all can’t wait to see you too! Hugs!
I absolutely love this. LOVE. I can feel how much this means to your children. Best of luck!
What a great commerical!! Our mutual friend Ralph Magee shared this link with me. In 2006 I was diagnosed with a Hemangoblastoma brain tumor. My son was 7 years old when I was diagnosed and he called it a lemon (since we descibed it as being about the size of a lemon). My tumor was operable as it was located in my cerebelum which casued me all sorts of problems with headaches, walking, slurred speech, and even panic attacks. I have successfully endured the surgery to have my tumor removed and I have been told my chance of reoccurance is limited. After surgery I developed hydrocephalus so I now have VP Shunt that allows the fluid to drain from my brain but I considered it a small price to pay for many more years of life with my family. I would consider myself lucky and I would be proud to sponsor Babes with Brains. I wish you all the best.
Best Wishes,
