Clear deep blue sky, crisp night air, apples, pumpkins, sweaters, boots, warm sun and cool air, college football, Red Sox, MLB playoffs…
Falling leaves, hot cider, Thanksgiving and Halloween, the boys rosy cool cheeks with smiles, bike rides and hikes, my birthday and anniversary, turning off the AC, riding in the car with the windows down…
S’mores and fires in the fireplace, flannel pj’s, soup, chili and fresh bakes pies, listening to the wind and dry leaves blow in the dark of night, the daily changing landscape, squirrels foraging for winter, planting lettuce in the garden…
The beauty of color everywhere and reflecting on the close of another year.
A glimpse of what I love and what makes me so happy about fall in no particular order. What do you love about Fall?
All of it! I miss “true” Fall so much…one of the downfalls of living in the desert! But honestly I think I will be revisiting this blog entry when I want a taste of Fall!! THANKS JEN!
xoxo Sarah 🙂
Agree on all. Love this post. XO, Amy
So many of the things you mention seem to be missing out here in So Cal…it’s almost difficult to think it is really Fall. Folks out here just continue as if it were still summer….golfing, surfing, hiking and enjoying the marvelous weather. But I do have fond memories of those very same things: hanging my large Iowa Hawkeny banner from the porch roof every Saturday, buying colorful mum plants for the porch; the wonderful smell of the leaves on a scrisp day, raking tons of leaves-getting the yard totally clean only to have all of the neighbors’ leaves (living up the hill) blow right down onto our lawn. …will have a party on December 21 to celebrate the Winter Solstice and the beginning of longer days. Go Hawks!
